Společenské konzultace při definování městské politiky

This course provides an in-depth exploration of the role of social consultations in the formulation and implementation of urban policies. The course examines the various methods and techniques used in social consultations and how they can be effectively used to involve stakeholders, communities, and marginalized groups in decision-making processes. Students will also learn about the legal and ethical considerations involved in social consultations and how to navigate potential conflicts that may arise.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of social consultations in defining urban policy
  • Identify and apply effective techniques and methods for conducting social consultations
  • Evaluate the legal and ethical considerations involved in social consultations
  • Analyze and evaluate the impact of social consultations on urban policy

  • Individual semester paper (50% , at the end of the course)
  • Individual oral presentation( 25%, right after the presentation)
  • Class participation (25%, at the end of the course)

  • The student has an in-depth understanding of the role of social consultations in the formulation and implementation of urban policies.
  • Students learn to involve stakeholders, communities, and marginalized groups in decision-making processes.
  • The students learn to use results of social consultations to inform urban policy.
  • Students are acquainted with the legal and ethical considerations involved in social consultations. Subsequently they learn to navigate potential conflicts in urban policy making. By learning this, students are able to propose grounded advice regarding  resolution of urban development driven conflicts.
  • The students know the best practices of the use of social consultations in urban policy in international context.
  • Students learn methods and techniques used in social consultations.
