Annotation
Essentials of the discipline of building technologies. Analysis and principles of planning of individual construction processes associated with the main construction production. Principles of technological procedures and their implementation in different technological phases of earthworks, substructure, superstructure and overall building envelope. Solution of the technological, spatial and temporal structure of the construction process. Order of activities, construction site preparedness, interrelationships and quality, safety and environmental requirements.
The indoor environment of buildings and its creation by the systems of technical equipment of buildings. Water supply of buildings, sewage disposal. Heating systems and hot water preparation. Forced ventilation and air conditioning systems for buildings. Heat and cold sources for near-zero energy buildings. Energy recycling in buildings and optimisation of building energy performance. Interconnection of construction and technological processes with the implementation of technical building services.

After completing the course, the student will have a basic overview of the production processes in the construction industry and the optimal way of implementing a construction. The student will be able to apply the principles of technological procedures and the links between the spatial and temporal structure of construction processes to various construction investments, especially in the implementation of the technological stages of earthworks, substructure, superstructure and building envelope. After completing the course, the student will be able to prepare a document of the Technological Regulations for the processes of construction, will be able to take into account the requirements arising from the analysis of the partial construction processes and the specifics according to the material characteristics of individual structures. The student will acquire encyclopaedic knowledge of the creation of the internal environment of buildings by the systems of technical equipment of buildings, including the connection to the energy concept of buildings. The student will gain an overview of the use of renewable energy sources and the possibilities of energy recycling in buildings. Understand the methodology of energy assessment of buildings.

Attendance and active participation in the practice.
For the topics discussed, the student will develop:
1) Technological prescriptions and provide the required attachments (i.e. statements of quantities, calculations, process diagrams, mechanisation positions, construction and technological details, etc.) according to the requirements for each assignment
2) Subtasks for the design of selected HVAC systems (calculation, schematic, possibly simplified floor plans, selection of sub-elements and equipment)
All tasks will be prepared and submitted in hard copy, elaborated states in electronic form in agreement with the trainee. Selected details are required to enhance the student's hand drawing skills. Some construction and technology drawings may be a combination of a printed construction drawing and a hand drawing.
Written and verbal examination.
