Originální abstrakt

A heterogenous computer network based on the Ethernet technology was built in the campus of the Faculty of Mechanical Enginnering in the Technical University of Brno (located in the Technická 2) in 1992. In the time of creation it was one of the biggets nodes of the Brno computer network. All usual network services are provided. Requirements are increasing and current network is on the edge of its capability; this state requires fundamental changes both in topology and technology. Construction of the campus network in Technická 2 on the base of ATM technology is prepared in 1995/1996.

A heterogenous computer network based on the Ethernet technology was built in the campus of the Faculty of Mechanical Enginnering in the Technical University of Brno (located in the Technická 2) in 1992.
