The aim of the present work has been to describe the chemical reactions of molten alloys of the type of Ni-Cr(Al), Ni-CrTi(Al), Ti-AlV, and of pure metals Cr and Ti with ceramic cores made of single-crystal alumina in an experimental set-up and conditions approximating the conditions of directional crystallization.
