This torsional vibration damper is designed for an internal-combustion spark-ignition engine with special firing intervals. Basically, it is the additional torsional system that is connected to cranktrain at the largest torsional deflections, therefore on the crankshaft front end. The main purpose of torsional vibration damper is to improve the psychoacoustic effect of the powertrain.
