Earth embankments are one of the basic features of the water resources protection of the civilised landscape from floods. The issue of their stability closely relates to the matter of safety, we address the protection from X-year flood, etc. In the last years (floods in the years 1997, 2002 and 2006), some embankments have been broken. Every year, new cases of damage to reservoir dams are also known, they are also often broken.
