Transport and noise characteristic of forward biased monocrystaline silicon solar cells made by different passivation method were measured in order to evaluate new technology. From the measurement results it follows that the solar cells with simple passivation and antireflection layer Si3N4 are higher quality. The solar cells with double passivation layer (thermic SiO2 and LP CVD Si3N4) show worse noise characteristics probably thanks to changes in n+ area during high temperature oxidation.
