This article is aimed on preparing and measuring the positive electrode based on LixKyCoO2. Replacement of a part of lithium atoms by potassium atoms should increase theoretically the stability of the material. Potassium atoms are bigger, and so they leave the van der Waals levels less willingly. This prevents decomposition of the material.
