Originální abstrakt

Structuring successful global partnerships around entrepreneurship can often be a challenge given language and cultural barriers, time zone differences and even agreeing on a suitable communications platform (WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram or LINE). An array of executive orders and proposed policy changes by the Trump Administration are adding new complications for higher educational institutions and our students in the United States. International students that might have participated in overseas courses are now being counseled not to leave the U.S. out of concern that they may not be allowed to return. Department of State funding for educational exchange programs including around entrepreneurship including Fulbright are facing significant cuts. Case Western Reserve University’s Michael Goldberg and Brno University of Techology’s Vít Chlebovský will discuss their partnership which included a visit of CWRU students to Brno, Czech Republic in March 2025 to work on consulting projects with Czech startups. We will share our experience structuring ways to engage our respective students with each other as well as startups in our ecosystems. And we will look ahead to navigating the challenges that have accompanied the US policy changes. https://whova.com/embedded/session/KDrm1xVNYkrit31Nj1dBuNCJyRDa6RAltZ1kp12zpes%3D/4872463/?widget=primary
