The abstract was related to a poster presented at the 9th meeting on Chemistry and Life. The scope of the conference paper was the use of the thermophilic bacteria Caldimonas thermodepolymerans for the production of polyhdroxyalkanoates with emphasis on the metabolic utilization of various carbohydrate substrates, specifically xylose, glucose and cellobiose.
