Several sky temperature models and their main computational formulae were presented in technical literature.. Among these models, there was the universal Clarke model. We found a serious mistake in that model. Although that model was not used in our previous computations, only its formulae were cited; yet, we feel a necessity to correct not only our citation but also the Clarke model itself. Our previous computations were performed according to the Thermal Standard and, as such, they were correct. We would like to prevent further propagation of the wrong formulae of the Clarke model originally published in the Clarke monograph and implemented in the ESP-r software package which is frequently used by the international engineering community. Many years have passed since introducing that model, but so far nobody has reported anything about its drawbacks. From that time on, many authors used that software in good faith that their results were correct.
