The goal of this study is to succesfully synthesize PHA copolymers using six newly isolated Gram-positive bacteria belonging to the genus Aneurinibacillus. Different copolymers containing significant molar fractions of 3-hydroxyvalerate (3HV), 4-hydroxyvalerate (4HV), 4-hydroxybutyrate (4HB), and 4-hydroxyhexanoate (4HH) were obtained, up to 1,39 g/L (≈ 73% of cell dry weight).
