The aim of this paper is present characteristics of tunnel wash water in Brno and the results of two sets of glasses filtration pre-tests. The first set of glasses pre-tests required to determine the appropriate contact time, and the second set was focused on determining the amount of adsorbent. As adsorbents were used GAC, biochar of food waste, activated biochar of food waste and biochar of wood. Analyses were focused on C10-C40 hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and chemical elements.
