In this chapter, the segmentation pipeline applicable on multimodal datasets is described, the advantages of segmentation over manual annotations are discussed and limitations of segmentation in multimodal setting are mentioned. Particular focus is given to the open-source tools with graphical user interface requiring no coding skills. Moreover, deep-learning approaches are discussed side-by-side with modelbased segmentation methods and their suitability is mentioned for various scenarios.
