Originální abstrakt
Main objective of this paper is to introduce a novelmethodology for scalable synthesis of multifunctional (polymorphic)digital circuits. Despite the fact that several approacheshave been proposed during recent years, those are applicablefor small-scale circuits only or based on various evolution-inspiredtechniques. Obviously, there does not exist yet scalablesynthesis methodology for complex multifunctional circuits. Theproposed methodology is based on And-Inverter Graphs (AIGs)with built-in extension for multifunctional circuits where theemployment of rewriting technique reduces the area by sharingcommon resources of two different input circuits. Experimentson publicly available benchmark circuits demonstrate significantarea reduction.
