Originální abstrakt

This research examines the issue of production overhead costs estimation in construction companies. The case study approach has been selected in order to analyse the significance and variability of production overhead costs on a sample of 16 construction contracts. The study focuses on one specific type of small-scale construction contracts, where the subject was constructions, repairs, or improvements to bridge structures. In the analytical part, three research hypotheses have been evaluated in order to address the effects of production overhead costs and project size in its financial perspective on project profit. Based on the findings, proposals for an enhanced estimation of production overhead costs are provided.
