Virtual Engine NVH Version 1.0 is a software tool for solving NVH of powertrain including key subsystems. This is the application of the know-how gained in the work package "WP15: Reduction of noise and vibration problems (NVH) and improvement of vibration comfort for future vehicles" project TE01020020 - Josef Bozek Competence Centre for Automotive Industry. Simulation by multi-body system (MBS) will create realistic system excitations and responses. The structural system is described by the finite element method (FEM) by standard elements, which are particularly suitable for describing the acoustic of structures in the frequency range up to 3 kHz. It includes a computational description of a number of subsystems (e.g. drivetrain, valvetrain, fuel injection pump), excitation between the source (e.g. gears) and the radiating structure (e.g. engine block). The excitation model by a multi-body system builds a structural model described by the finite element method, and it interacts with the acoustic environment
