Paper Review of the 10th International Scientific Conference Transbaltica 2017: Transportation Science and Technology. Abstract of the paper: During the examination of the management science, it is necessary to take into account various theories that can be applied to different fields of activity. Railway transport is a special field of activity in which attention must be paid to the specifics, asserted to diverse activities, across organizational, technological and productive aspects. Therefore, in the context of application of management principles, it is necessary to evaluate the complexity of the railway transport activity, linkages with other activities, by properly selecting the type of management and its specific theories of management application.
