Originální abstrakt

A new technique for the three-dimensional topology assessment of rock joints has been recently published. This technique used two relative shape indicators for topology description. Extensive tests have revealed that the relative forms of indicators are not always capable of generating stable numerical results. The replacement of relative indicators with absolute ones ensures more stable predictions and more reliable results. The present contribution discusses functionality of the new absolute indicators and illustrates their capabilities by analyzing several natural samples of rock joints.
