Originální abstrakt

The Acoustic Non-Destructive Testing methods are a forceful tool for the determination of the lifetime of technical construction and engineering structures. The study of its proper-ties for civil engineering is as important as the study of steel for mechanical engineering. An understanding of microstructure–performance relationships is the key to a true under-standing of material behaviors. Nevertheless, application of Non-Destructive Testing methods in civil engineering area is not easy because many building materials are hetero-geneous. Verification of application possibilities of Acoustic Emission and Impact-echo Methods during stress situation will be the aim of this article. Both methods can describe material changes during its lifetime. Acoustic Emission Method monitors composite struc-ture continuously and Impact-echo Method monitors one in discrete time. Changes in the whole specimen are recorded.
