Abstrakt Cíl článku – Cílem článku je provést přehlednou analýzu marketingových strategií firem typu „born globals“ v podmínkách internacionalizace. Dílčím cílem je zjistit, do jaké míry je termín „born globals“ rozšířen mezi studenty ekonomických škol, tedy potenciálními budoucími podnikateli reprezentujícími novou generaci, a jakou by tito zástupci zvolili marketingovou strategii, pokud by měli jen 3 roky od založení podniku, než vstoupí na zahraniční trh. Výsledkem studie je porovnání odpovědí českých studentů oproti vyzkoušeným teoriím z celého světa, které jsou zanalyzovány v přehledné tabulce a ukazují marketingové strategie firem „born globals“ napříč kontinenty, různými obory, velikostmi podniků i výší obratu. Methodologie- Vědecká práce používá metody analýzy primárních a sekundárních dat.

Purpose of the article – The purpose of this article is to perform synoptic analysis of marketing strategies used by “born globals” companies in the internationalization environment. Secondary purpose is to find out how are the students of economical schools, who represent the upcoming generation of managers, familiar with the term “born globals” and what kind of strategy would they use if they only had three years between founding the company and entering foreign market. The results are then compared with proofed strategies from all over the world, which have been analysed and put into table to show the marketing strategies of the “born globals” companies from across the world, from different fields, with various company sizes and turnovers. Methodology/methods- This paper uses the analysis of both primary and secondary data. Secondary data consists of structured data collection, overview of available literature and analysis of published papers, which deal with the “born globals marketing strategy” topic. Quantitative questionnaire research was performed in order to process the primary data collection. The data have then been analysed. The primary set of respondents consisted of 75 students (from first to last year of their study) of Brno University of Technology, The Faculty of Business and Management. Scientific aim – This article aims to answer the question whether the students representing the upcoming generation, who have no real business experience, but with access to modern technologies, will prefer marketing on social networks over the traditional ways, such as building personal relationships and relationships with stakeholders etc. and if their recommended strategies for “born globals” companies will differ from the strategies recommended for companies which have already been operating in domestic market for a long time and then they decided to expand to foreign markets. Findings – This article contains analysis of marketing strategies of “born globals” companies. The author uses the already obtained information about the approach of these companies to marketing strategies and compares them to the approach of the young generation, which is represented by students of economy at Brno Technical University. This article also verifies the knowledge of the term “born globals” amongst the students and subsequently finds out if the lack of knowledge originates in the unfamiliarity of the term or in the lack of “born globals” companies the students could get in contact with. Conclusion – The article analyses and describes the marketing strategies of “born globals” companies in the internationalization environment and answers the following scientific question: Do the students of economy have the same approach towards marketing strategies as the approach described in proofed theories which are based on analysis, and is it possible to define one clear recommendation for all the “born globals” companies, regardless of their origin, size, field etc.? The article has its own limitations within the set of data and respondents. The set of data will be eventually enlarged by analysis of marketing strategies of both Czech “born globals” companies and traditional Czech exporting companies and also by widening the set of respondents by involving students from other universities in CZ and SVK. The article should help the managers to understand current trends and to help them to adapt to the new export strategies.
