The behaviour of micro- alloyed steel 8Mn2Si in bolts M10 production by cold forging without heat treatment was tested with heat treated bolts. Main different between this bolts is in material. As material was chose. Bolts from steel 8Mn2Si had the strengh class 8.8- 9.8 after forming. It is important from economicaly point of view. The manufacture by cold forging is cheaper then cold forging with heat treatment of conventional steel. For 4 operating production of bolts are going choose two diameters of workpieces. A ramming is going to choose so that it is going to discover dependence HV10= f (j ). The Vickers hardness was measured on a half of longitudial axis cut. This dependence is important for determination of inhomogeneity of deformation in bolts.The results of the research should show that bolts from steel 8Mn2Si should fulfil the requirements of ČSN EN 20898- 1.
