Learning outcomes

  • Professional knowledge

Introduction to fundamental projection methods and their application to technical problems. The students will understand coted projection, orthographic axonometry, and linear perspective. They will also get acquainted with visualization of surfaces used in technical practise using CAD tools.

  • Professional skills

The students will master the construction of an ellipse based on its focal properties, the basics of stereometry, perspective affinity, and perspective collineation. The students will be able to represent simple geometric solids and surfaces in coted projection and orthographic axonometry, including their sections and intersections with a line, using CAD software. In linear perspective, they will be able to depict a construction (architectural) object.

  • Competencies

The students will be prepared to continue further studies that build upon the knowledge gained in this course. The student will develop logical, spatial, and constructive thinking skills, which are essential for their academic progress.

Pravidla hodnocení a ukončení předmětu

Participation in the seminars is mandatory and monitored. Two credit tests are scheduled during the semester, in the 6th and 11th weeks. To pass, students must earn at least 50% of the total points from both credit tests combined. Students who do not achieve the required number of points will be allowed to take a make-up credit test.
