This study monitors presence of sulfonamide antibiotics, in sediment samples. Presence of selected antibiotics was monitored in Svratka and Svitava rivers in Moravia region in the Czech Republic. Samples were collected along the whole river streams in October 2011. Targeted analytes were isolated from the sediment samples by optimized procedure of pressurized solvent extraction. Solid phase extraction (SPE) was used for clean-up and HPLC-MS was used for final analysis.
