Originální abstrakt

The paper deals with the actual behaviour and load-carrying capacity of steel-concrete composite structural members composed of high-strength steels and concretes, especially in the comparison with steel-concrete members composed of normal-strength materials. The investigations of the actual behaviour of these steel-concrete composite structural members are based mainly on the experimental verification of the failure mechanisms and objective ultimate load-carrying capacities and on the subsequent evaluation of the results obtained from the tests and their generalization. The attention was mainly paid to the determination and evaluation of the load-carrying capacity of these structural members, i.e. columns and beams composed of high-strength steels and concretes, respecting the effective material usage and taking into account also other influences, which are significant for the resulting load-carrying capacity (column buckling, for example).
