The composition and processing of renovation renders and systems, which are applied in the current practice of reconstruction of historical buildings, come from classical technologies but they are different in some respect. Renovation plasters represent a heterogeneous element which is put into historical building. The diversification process takes place all the time because materials come through a service life; as a repair material the same or similar one is supposed to be used. The exact properties of this type of renders are, however, not prescribed in any standard in Czech Republic or in other EU countries. Therefore, the technologists often use WTA 2-9-04/D (1) recommendation which was elaborated by the group of persons who are associated with the corporation WTA Germany (International Association for Science and Technology of Building Maintenance and Monuments Preservation). In this recommendation the properties of fresh and hardened renovation plaster and rules for their preparation are described.
