Abstrakt

Software 3D Continuous Casting Model is design for simulation heat transfer phenomenon in steel slabs continuous casting process. Users can easily set up casting control parameters which have main influence on steel solidification. These parameters are casting speed and cooling rates in secondary cooling zone. Caster geometry is accord to radial slab caster where cross-section of the slab is 1550 x 250 mm. Output is created as a final temperature field, core and surfaces temperatures, metallurgical length and temperatures in all nodes. Model is created in program MATLAB version R2011b
