Originální abstrakt

Water is not commercial product like any other but, rather, a heritage which must be protected, defended and treated as such. Population distribution, land use, indestrial activity, agricultural practices, and pollution - control strategies in Czech Republic have all changed significantly since 1990. The effects of these changes on water quality ad the consequences on human nad ecological health and the use fo water resources are of major economic and social importance.
