Abstrakt

2D continuous casting model is design for simulation heat transfer phenomenon in steel slabs continuous casting process. Users can easily set up casting control parameters which have main influence on steel solidification. These parameters are casting speed and heat transfer coefficient in coolant circuits. Output is created as a final temperature field, core and surfaces temperatures, metallurgical length and temperatures in all nodes. Moreover user can compare temperature field for different grades of steel. Model is created in program MATLAB version R2007b.
