For cooling of rolls of the roll benches the water nozzles with a flat jet are used. Cooling water is transferred standardly by an onerow or a multiple row collector. Optimum cooling efficiency is reached with a proper distribution of the cooling water on a surface. Within laboratory testing it was discovered that an optimal configuration is with a combination of flat and round nozzles, thus large savings f the cooling water and energy given into the cooling system can be reached.
