In this paper a method for speckle reduction is described. In this method image is filtered with an adaptive median filter, transformed into a wavelet domain with a nonseparable wavelet transform, processed with a nonlinear soft thresholding and finally transformed back into a space domain. Speckle noise is reduced and details are almost fully preserved. Several parameters can be adjusted to obtain better results.

In this paper a method for speckle reduction is described.
