Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) is a relevant tool not only for managers, engineers, and scientist on the way of searching the optimal solution of various technological tasks but it is a very attractive tool for teachers, too. A brief survey of analytical and solving instruments of innovative TRIZ mathodology and its SW support IM is presented. The main attention is put on functional approach, especially on formulation of the technical function.
