Ostrava is a town with heavy industry, which gave rise buildings and premises that are of a considerable proportion in the town structure. The termination of production has brought a question - what to do with these premises? Both the architecture of the buildings and the technological equipment are outstanding documents of their era.The article presents a project of rescue and reutilization of an important national cultural monument in Ostrava Vítkovice.
