Originální abstrakt

The article is a contribution to the problems of using pumped-storage power plants in power system operation. These power plants - due to their character - take a specific place in the power system and can influence both the economy and reliability of power supply, which means that their economic contribution can be evaluated in two different ways - as fuel saving or as the costs for the loss caused by outage. Owing to that the complex evaluation and optimization of pumped-storage power plants operation is rather complicated.

The article is a contribution to the problems of using pumped-storage power plants in power system operation.
