Příspěvek pojednává o různých aspektech trendu pronikání technologie Ethernet do oblasti průmyslové au-tomatizace. V první části je popsána stručně technologie Ethernet, která je nejrozšířenějším komunikačním prostředkem v oblasti lokálních sítí LAN (Local Area Networks). V další části se zabývá nejvýznamnějšími průmyslovými sběrnicemi (Fieldbusy) a porovnává vlastnosti technologie Ethernet a fieldbusů. Hodnotí šance Ethernetu v roli fieldbusu a specifikuje podmínky této transformace. Dochází k závěru, že v nejbližší době nedojde k vytlačení fieldbusů Ethernetem. V závěru podává návrhy na řídicí a komunikační struktury kombinující Ethernet s některými fieldbusy

Anglický abstrakt

Contribution deals with various aspects of a recent tendency in penetrating of Ethernet technologyt into in-dustrial automation. In the first part there is shortly described the Ethernet technology, which is the most spread means of communication in local area networks (LANs). In the next part there are described the most important fieldbuses and compared their parameters with parameters of Ethernet. Contribution evalu-ates outlooks of Ethernet in competition with fieldbuses and specifies conditions of the transformation. It also draws conclusions that fieldbuses will not be displaced by Ethernet in a near future. That's why the contribution proposes several communication structures combining Ethernet and some fieldbuses
