For some time we have been engaged in assessing the quality of SCANPAN 2001+ cooking pans introduced on our market by the Danish manufacturer.The unique quality of these pans is supposed to consist in making use of the hardness of ceramics and the advantaged afforded by Teflon or Greblon coating from the viewpoint of the useful cooking propeties as exhibited by current Teflon kitchen products. In practice, however, the situation looks somewhat different. The firm that markets the above products has repeatedly asked us to give an expert assessment of the goods claimed to be faulty. The present paper is concerned with establishing the causes of faults occurring in the process of manufacturing, which came to show already after a short period of usage.
