The contribution describes mathematical models of asynchronous machines, their designs in the DYNAST and MATLAB programs, and shows solutions to some machine failures in particular applications. Příspěvek popisuje matematické modely asynchroních strojů, jejich návrh pomocí DYNASTu a MATLABu a ukazuje možnosti simulace různých poruch při využití ve výuce.
