Originální abstrakt

This contribution is devoted to measurements of soil moisture content using Z-meter device. Measured was silty-clay loam soil profile in locality Milhostov, which is situated in East Slovakian lowland. Monitored was period of cca. One month (from 7th June to 9th July 2010). Outputs shown, that Z-meter device is suitable for long-term monitoring of soil moisture content. The main disadvantage of Z-meter device under the conditions of heavy soils is its inaccuracy when cracks occur.
