The paper briefly specifies the advantages of FRP materials and reasons for their use. It also touches it negative parameters such as low modulus of elasticity. One possibility how to eliminate this problem and how to improve its usability is to prestress the FRP reinforcement. New method for anchoring prestressed reinforcement is introduced along with other recently used anchoring systems
