Originální abstrakt

This paperdeals with the OPNET modeling tool. In the first part the introduction to theanalysis and design area is given, followed by the description of the networkanalysis tool OPNET. The second part proposes an application of OPNET simulationtool in the area of network analysis and the comparison with some other toolsis given. The last part outlines the utilization of OPNET for the use in theprotocol analysis and compares an advantages and disadvantages of this tools.The conclusion introduces the experiences from the application of OPNET at BrnoUniversity of Technology.
