Originální abstrakt

Study maps Josip Plečnik's work in Prague, his teaching activities at the School of Applied Arts, and his key role in the reconstruction of Prague Castle for President T. G. Masaryk. It traces the development of the reception of his work – from recognition in the early years through sharp controversies in the 1930s to post-war oblivion and rediscovery in the 1980s thanks to international initiatives. After 1989, Plečnik's work returned to the center of attention, culminating in major exhibitions.
