Originální abstrakt

Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) are one of the most enveloping optical devices in telecommunications and sensor systems. Work is aimed to implement basic principles of FBGs into education. Goal of this project is acquire students with FBGs commonly used in sensor systems as in-fiber sensors and in telecommunication as band filters and chromatic dispersion compensators. The presentation of FBGs principles is realized by program with graphic user interface (GUI). Using this GUI, students can simulate spectral characteristics of common used FBGs.
