Abstrakt

A prototype of the smart vibration sensor is a compact unit containing two low-noise MEMS sensing elements with different parameters for measurement of mechanical vibrations, analog circuits for signal processing from elements, low-power control microcontroller MSP430 from Texas Instruments, communication circuits for RS485 bus and circuits for powering the whole device. The internal controller processes signals from measuring MEMS elements, precise timing of the entire system, formatting of the data message for the RS485 bus and communication via the bus with the superior system.
