In this paper the Cisco’s conception of IPv6 protocol deployment possibilities are discussed. Methods of building of IPv6 testing network are shown together with subsequent configuration of routing devices in use. Main work goal is oriented on the analysis of the new IPv6 features and their current implementation status. Cisco router 2610XM with IOS 12.3(5b) operating system is available for tunneled connection by the means of XS26 tunnel broker (IPv4 to IPv6 transition mechanism).
