Originální abstrakt

The S2 layer plays a crucial role in the mechanical properties of wood cell walls. Certain correlations had been found between the MFA and the stiffness of the wood. Experimental works were undertaken for the spruce wood (Picea abies), to achieve maximum variation among measured values of MFA, the wood samples were gathered from different wood pieces. The angle between fibre axis to the maximum extinction position (MEP) was recorded.
