The contribution discusses some methods of concrete impermeability increase especially by admixtures and additives, optionally by the change of manufacturing technology of the concrete structures. Permeability of concrete cover (covercrete) is the decisive property of this layer for durability assessment. Its durability often dicides about the life cycle of a concrete structure.
