In this paper a design of a low-cost Colpitts voltage controlled oscillator in Serenade 8.5 is presented. High frequency oscillators are the cornerstones for both analogue communications as well as digital communications such as for example Bluetooth, GSM, UMTS and other systems. The design is created and simulated in Serenade 8.5 by firm Ansoft.
