This paper describes present identification systems. One of the popular methods for fingerprint analysis and recognition is described in the first part of this paper. The possible usage of chip cards is mentioned too. That sophisticated method is implicitly required in the electronic signature law. A brief outlook of future developments and new solutions is offered.
