O projektu

The LILA (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy & Laser Ablation Mass Spectrometry) project develops a next-generation, in-situ planetary analyzer integrating LIBS and LAMS into a compact, high-performance instrument. Combining optical emission spectroscopy (OES) and high-resolution mass spectrometry (Orbitrap technology), LILA enables real-time elemental, isotopic, and molecular analysis on planetary rovers and landers. The project focuses on: Assessing LILA’s Capabilities – Validating detection limits, resolution, and performance under planetary conditions; Scientific Applications – Investigating helium-3 prospection, water detection, astrobiology on Mars, and trace elements; Optimizing Design – Evaluating deployment constraints for landers, rovers, and ISRU missions. LILA operates in vacuum and low-pressure environments, making it ideal for lunar, Martian, and asteroid missions. Machine learning enhances spectral interpretation, increasing autonomy in planetary exploration.
