O projektu

The project focuses on advanced reliability analysis of steel structures, emphasizing global sensitivity analysis (GSA), stochastic modeling, and nonlinear behaviors in slender steel structures. The primary topics include stability, load-carrying capacity, geometric and material imperfections, and their influence on reliability. To achieve these goals, novel sensitivity analysis methods are being developed, including quantile-oriented sensitivity indices that provide more accurate analysis of extreme events and critical design quantiles compared to traditional variance-based approaches. These methods will enable a detailed assessment of how imperfections influence structural reliability. Tasks aimed at improving finite element models (FEM) and using advanced surrogate modeling techniques will reduce computational complexity while maintaining high accuracy of model outputs. This research is expected to enhance the current understanding of structural behavior and introduce new methodologies for evaluating reliability, potentially influencing design codes and engineering practices.
